History
Since
1992, ERISS has been fulfilling its mission of providing markets with
better information solutions.
ERISS ACHIEVEMENTS
2002
After more than two years of research and testing, ERISS launches its
new private sector initiative, the National Center for Business &
Economic Research (NCBER). NCBER's mission is to make unprecedented
levels of current and deep business intelligence universally available
to economic development organizations across the United States &
Canada.
ERISS engaged
the previous, senior sales and marketing management team from FlipDog.
The team's task is to help develop and launch NCBER.
USWorks
launches a new suite interactive products and services for the workforce
sector, including an entirely new breed of customized business applications
called "Business On-Line", a new jobseeker interface called
"Job Wizard". At the same time, USWorks re-codes all existing
applications to a new occupational taxonomy (O*NET) and launches the
entire suite with the Florida High Tech Corridor Project.
USWorks
delivers the Florida High Tech Corridor Project on time and on budget.
This was an unprecedented collaborative effort between ERISS and the
State of Florida, the Florida High Tech Corridor, the Tampa Bay Partnership,
the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission and local workforce
boards, universities, community colleges and economic development organizations.
This project included surveys of 47,000 businesses and uncovered more
than 17,000 specific job openings. The associated applications can be
seen at www.usworks.com/floridahightech.
2001
In response to the rapidly changing economic conditions and the aftermath
of 9/11, USWorks develops and deploys a unique, new real-time information
tool called "Rapid Response". This system transfers detailed
information on lay-offs and hiring uncovered daily in our surveys to
front-line staff for immediate action. As a result, USWorks delivered
more than 9,600 lay-offs, 17,000 specific job openings and 3,600 real-time
matches between lay-offs and openings for the Florida High Tech Corridor
project.
USWorks
launches a new, intensive business outreach and communications system
called "USWorks Messenger". This system uses fax and email
addresses collected during the survey to engage and inform local businesses
about available services and drives businesses to custom websites developed
specifically for them. The system includes monthly messages, and unprecedented
message bounce follow-up and corrections, including multiple call backs
to businesses.
2000
ERISS produces the SSA (Self-Service Agent), a quantum leap incorporating
everything we have learned over the years. USWorks for Jobseekers scores
a series of "firsts" in the workforce arena:
- First
internet-based skill matching application that can directly match
an individual's skills, background and needs against current job
market conditions
- First
application that can provide up-to-the-minute salary information
for any occupation in any area of the United States (patent pending)
- First
application that can auto-generate resumes and auto-post resumes
to numerous job boards
- First
application to allow for simple "one-click" access to
current job openings from a wide variety of job boards
- First
application that can completely track and document self-service
performance

the largest single job market information collection company in the
United States.
1998
ERISS produces the first Internet-based Skill Matching system and launches
its first statewide version of ERISSWORKS.
1997

create an interactive website for job market information with dynamic
links to local employers, training providers, career information and
more.
The same
year, ERISS is the first (and only) company to create a CATI (Computer-Aided
Telephone Interviewing) system specifically designed for the collection
of local job market information.
1996
ERISS undertakes its first employer survey to produce extremely current,
local and detailed job market information, which is incorporated into
ERISS Professional.
To this
day, ERISS remains the only company anywhere who can produce both surveys
and integrated information dissemination systems.

Provider service and Internet portal for all local jobseekers and employers.
For the first time employers and jobseekers could connect in real-time.
1994
ERISS Profiler is the first (and only) skills transference program that
not only matches skills and aptitudes, but also matches an individual's
needs against local labor market conditions. This is quickly followed
by the Job Developer software which allows professionals to tap directly
into the hidden job market.
ERISS reaches
3,000 installed sites - more than any other company in the U.S.
1993
ERISS is the first company anywhere to incorporate local job market
information with state and federal data. As a result, by 1994 ERISS
is adopted statewide by all California Employment Security offices and
Private Indusrty Councils.
ERISS reaches
