How to Participate

This revolutionary approach to solving one of the most pressing issues for economic development in the 21st century is made possible by breakthrough technologies and methodologies developed and proven over the past six years by one of the leading business research firms in the U.S.

Successful pilot projects have already validated the concept, the value, and the process. Census projects will be rolled out in waves and are anticipated to cover all of the U.S. & Canada by 2006.

The first wave of geographical target areas is currently being identified and slated for implementation in the first quarter of 2003.

Preference will be given to areas that have a strong, forward-looking business leadership group or groups.

Only a single, local business group acting as non-paying prime sponsor is required for the project, although several leading organizations acting in unison is preferred. The key is local credibility and access to potential, paying co-sponsors to fund the projects.

Membership in IEDC is required for participation.

Once a local business group(s) has been selected as primary sponsor, the co-sponsorships will be made available. The process of acquiring the minimum of three to four co-sponsors is anticipated to last 3-6 weeks.

The alliance will send representatives to your area and they will provide the required materials and presentations to potential co-sponsors. They will rely upon your organization to help schedule and coordinate the in-person presentations.
