The Win/Win Bonus

The ultimate aim of an NCBER Census is to improve the local economy by providing economic development stakeholders with critical business intelligence that is timely, relevant and actionable.

For investing co-sponsors such as banks, insurance companies and commercial real estate brokers, the major quid pro quo is undoubtedly the direct bottom-line return the detailed profiles on local firms can generate - both in terms of greater market share, customer retention and return on investment.

But just like bees happen to pollinate trees and flowers in the process of collecting honey, so will these co-sponsors increase service, competition and price-performance levels to the huge market segment covered by the Census.

For some stakeholders, it will be the first time they can comfortably and profitably engage the massive Small-to-Medium Enterprise (SME) market in a concerted and consistent manner.

So the fact that the Census is good for the co-sponsors, makes it good for local business and thus the local economy and quality of life.
