Census
Overview & Details
A Business
Census is always geographically focused and always sponsored by
a major local business advocacy group or groups, such as the major
chamber of commerce or economic development organization.
Over six months,
the census will produce a constant stream of detailed business
intelligence that is several orders of magnitude deeper, broader,
and more current than anything previously produced for the area.
 |
- It
will target ALL local firms (all private-sector businesses
with 25 or more employees)
-
It will have an anticipated response rate of 25%-35% of
all target companies
It will provide answers to 50 or more questions including
current contact data, size, growth, revenues, profitability,
business outlook, service satisfaction ratings and more.
-
Only three co-sponsors per sector (ie, banking, utilities,
telecommunications, financial services, commercial real-estate)
can be accepted for the project. Only sponsors and co-sponsors
will have access to the detailed company profile information
gathered in the Census.
-
Once the Census begins, it will continue for approximately
six months. Census results are being streamed to the sponsors
in near real-time via the Internet over the course of
the data collection period.
|
 |
Once complete,
a new six-month cycle will be initiated, providing local areas with an
ever-current source of world-class business intelligence and trends.
